Mission Statement:
Umenty.org is dedicated to improving the wellbeing and mental health of teens and young adults by raising awareness, fostering a dialogue of resilience, connecting them with licensed professionals, and breaking the stigma around seeking help.
Umenty focuses on creating open conversations about mental health and to frame obtaining support as a sign of strength. We build a culture of resilience and honesty, offering resources, education, and community support to help teens and young adults navigate challenges and grow emotionally and mentally.
WE DO THIS BY:
1. Funding access to care - Covering the cost of licensed counselors and therapists through our partner Talkspace for teens and young adults who might not otherwise have access to support.
2. Bringing conversations into schools and communities - Organizing speakers, events and workshops that normalize mental health discussions among teens and young adults.
3. Driving awareness through community campaigns - Creating events, workshops, resources, and initiatives that foster open dialogue among teens, young adults, families, and communities while breaking down the stigma of mental health.
4. Breaking mental health stigma - By partnering with influencers including professional athletes and sports teams and Luv Them, we will use social media, events, activities, and fundraising to build awareness and reinforce that seeking help is a sign of strength.
We understand the critical importance of fostering a safe and welcoming virtual environment where teens can candidly discuss their personal challenges, seek advice, and gain valuable insights.
By offering tailored resources and professional guidance, we aim to equip them with the tools they need to navigate their mental health journey and promote overall well-being.
Our commitment is to build a community that champions mental health awareness and encourages teenagers to prioritize their emotional health, ultimately fostering resilience and self-acceptance as they grow into confident individuals.

Vision Statement:

We see a future where stigma doesn't exist for teens and young adults seeking mental health support. We see a future where teens and young adult mental health needs are understood through positive dialogue, education, and communication. We aim to be a trusted resource that empowers teens to navigate mental health challenges with confidence and resilience — fostering early intervention, emotional well-being, and long-term mental health outcomes regardless of geographic, social, or economic barriers.
